Terisa James, MSW

CO-CHAIR

Terisa James has worked for over 45 years in community health and has extensive experience in program development, engagement, grants, and practice-based research. She is committed to serving minority, underserved, and vulnerable populations. And enjoys cultivating innovative and strategic partnerships with community, academic, and research organizations to identify opportunities to improve access and health outcomes.

Terisa also co-founded Health Choice Network of Florida (HCNFL), one of the first successful health center-controlled networks: a nationwide collaboration among Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). She served as Director of Community Engagement and Strategic Partnerships at HCNFL for 23 years and retired in December 2021.

Ms. James has volunteered for The Promise Fund of Florida since 2022 (her "passion project") and is working with an FQHC to establish a research department.
