Mami Kisner
A passionate advocate for equity and access, Mami remains focused on opening doors for women and people of color. Mami’s outstanding career has allowed her to serve on both local and national boards where she was able to expand opportunities for women and women of color. She is very active in local and national underserved communities through leadership roles in higher education, appointed tourism boards, promoting job opportunities, housing, and healthcare. She has been a community leader in the development and the expanding of family centers, education, housing, and healthcare initiatives in Palm Beach County. Mami has supported countless local and national efforts through her board service with organizations like the International Trumpet Awards Foundation, The National Civil Rights Walk of Fame, The Xernona Clayton Foundation, Palm Beach Atlantic University Board of Trustees, The Tourism Board of the Palm Beaches, Hope House of the Palm Beaches. She also assisted in the development of The U.B. Kinsey Education and Community Center.
Mami has served as Senior Advisor to the Board of Promise Fund for several years, where she helps expand access to cancer care for women in need. She is also the Chair of the Promise Fund yearly Bridge Lighting.
Notably, Mami nominated Ambassador Nancy Brinker for the 2007 International Trumpet Award, a television show recognizing her groundbreaking work in women’s health. Mami's decades of service, dedication, leadership skills, local and national outreach and dedication to community uplift make her an invaluable addition to our Board and mission.
